Justice Minister Meets Human Rights Commission Chair to Advance Prison Reforms and Detainee Rights

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Moallim received the Chairperson of the National Independent Human Rights Commission of Somalia, Dr. Maryan Khasim to discuss prison conditions, detainee rights and justice reforms for children and vulnerable groups. Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation, enhance prison monitoring and advance a justice system aligned with human rights standards.
