President Hassan Appoints New Military Logistics Chief

MOGADISHU — Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed Brigadier General Mohamed Mohamud Hassan "Garabi" as the new Commander of the Somali National Army’s (SNA) Support Command.

The appointment, recommended by the Ministry of Defense and the Chief of the Armed Forces, is part of a strategic push to modernize the military's logistics and administrative framework.

Brigadier General Garabi previously served as the Military Attaché to Turkey and holds extensive experience in defense logistics. Officials state the restructuring aims to streamline supply chains and enhance troop readiness during ongoing national security operations.
