Southwest State Announces New Security Measures in Baidoa

Baidoa, Somalia(SONNA)-Southwest State President Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madoobe) chaired a security meeting in Baidoa on Thursday, where officials agreed on new measures aimed at strengthening security across the state.
The meeting, attended by the Minister of Security and senior security commanders, reviewed the security situation and adopted key decisions, including a ban on soldiers carrying weapons in the city without wearing official military uniforms and restrictions on military vehicles operating in Baidoa unless engaged in official missions.
Officials also approved planned operations to reopen roads linking districts across Southwest State and pledged to expand security operations in cooperation with local communities.
President Madoobe emphasized the need for stronger coordination between security agencies and the public to maintain peace and stability throughout the region.
